Does a 4 g dosage of Ceramizer® provide for efficient regeneration of an engine, a rear axle or a gearbox?

The dosage is carefully selected and composedfor the tailor -made regeneration of a particular friction area such as in the engine: piston rings, camshafts, cylinders or in the gearbox: bearings, synchronizers. Small concentrated dosage (4 g) of our additive does not result in an oil level increase in any mechanism. Therefore, it does not change its properties and parametres. Ceramizers® are not oil thickeners.


Why do not motor oil manufacturers sell their oil with Ceramizers®?

The main reasons are:

  • Not every user is willing to apply oil with Ceramizer® – especially following the instructions regarding driving at low revolution speed of an engine (rpm) within 200 km. 
  • An other reason is a very common issue. Car manufacturers or other OEM- producers of other devices often do not make durable products, although it is technologically possible. The durability of the effects after the use of Ceramizer is not consistent with the desired fequency of oil changes of various producers. It is also not in the interest of oil manufacturers to sell it with Ceramizer®, since after the application of our additive, the oil consumption may decrease and intra-service periods may be prolonged.

In which cases can I expect to see the positive results follow after the application of Ceramizer®?

Application of Ceramizer® results in increase and leveling of compression pressure on cylinders. It indirectly reduces the oil consumption that is due to normal wear and tear of fricition surfaces caused by the casual use of the vehicle. Ceramizer® works on metal to metal friction pairs in the engine or other mechanism and will not work on other friction pairs – such as rubber-metal in the case of valve sealers.


How does this additive's performance compare to other products like Militec, Slick-50, Xado? Do these products work in the same way? Can I apply Ceramizer® and what operations shall I carry out if other additive had previously been applied?

The products listed above (Militec, Slick-50, Xado) are not equivalent to our products. Our additive acts in areas subjected to friction – on an area where a ceramic-metal layer is being formed. This way it provides for regeneration of metal tometal friction areas by restoring their near nominal geometry. Ceramizers® are not thickeners of  oil or “motodoctors” (one dosage is only approx  4 g). The effects due to the application of Ceramizer® will maintained after an oil change (in case of an engine within up to 70 000 km). The application of Ceramizer® will be quicker and more effective if previously no other additives and formulas were used that resulted in the forming of anti-friction layers.


There are many oil and fuel additives and formulas available on the market and via the Internet. How do I select the proper one?

When selecting the product it is very important to consider the following factors:

  • amount of an additive- the greater the volume of an additive the more likely that it is an oil thickener (“snake oil”);
  • the number of reliable tests and analyses attesting the efficiency of an additive;
  • the number of positive and reliable testimonials of users;
  • the application and experiences of this product in motor sports;
  • the product should be free from Teflon (PTFE).

Does application of Ceramizer® result in positive effects if there is heavy oil consumption (1 liter per 1 000km / 620 miles) due to valve sealers and piston rings (16 v. engine). Does application of an additive in this case decrease oil consumption?

A ceramic-metal layer formed during the action of an additive enhances the tightness between the piston rings and the cylinder, but in the case of valve sealers (valve guides) it is quite a different. The layer is not formed (no metal against metal friction). Sealers ought to be replaced. An oil deficiency (except for the above mentioned sealers' case) follows due to damage or significant wear and tear of the piston rings.


Does application of Ceramizers® result in negative effects for major engine repair? Does Ceramizer® additive cause clogging of oil channels?

Application of Ceramizer® does not result in any negative effects, including technological changes.The Diameter of Ceramizer® particles is smaller than that of filter mesh, so there is no possibility of clogging the oil channels.


What makes Ceramizers® better than Teflon formulas?

Teflon layers are mainly polymers (plastic) that only provide a low fricton ratio. They are not resistant to thermal conditions in the engine. After some time chains of polymers break down to form other materials. These particles settle down in the oil channels and damage the mechanism. The company that introduced these products into the market does not recognize this kind of product anymore. Ceramizers®, according to the meaning of its name forms a ceramic-metal layer of unusual strength and resistance to temperature and friction. These layers are characterized by a very low friction ratio (the layer is 10 times stronger than steel and friction ratio is 8 times lower than metal-against metal pairs). The durability of the ceramic-metal layer corresponds to that of coated surfaces and lasts for a distance of 70 000km. Ceramizers® also contain ingredients (GP parts) that enhance the oil's physical properties in the degree of its adhesion to metal surfaces, which called “magnetization of oil”.


Can this additive be applied into Diesel, TDI, GDI engines or engines with gas installation?

Ceramizer® may be applied into all of these engines.

Questions about application in engines

Will Ceramizer® help with engine with oil overconsumpton (over 1L/1000 km ~620 miles)?

It generally depends on the root cause of the oil overburn. Oil consumption of over 1L/1000 km (620 miles) is usually not caused by the casual use of the vehicle. It is first necessary we need to correctly diagnose problem with the engine. One of the reasons of such an extreme situation might be malfunction or damage to the piston ring (broken piston ring) or malfunction/ damage of the valve seals.Using Ceramizer in this situation will not harm to the engine but the chances of success are reduced by the scope of the wear of the engine. If the overconsumption is caused by normal use Ceramizer® has a much chance of eliminating / limiting it. Ceramizer will not help when the piston rings are broken or in case when oil consumption is caused by the valve seals.


I have an oil leakage from the engine and gearbox. Will your products help to stop it?

Ceramizer® will not help to stop oil leakage.Ceramizers® are not oil thickeners and their principle function is not to seal the leaks from the mechanism.


Does Ceramizer® silence the work of hydraulic tappets?

The causes of noise in the hydraulic tappets may be different. It is usually due to the obstruction of calibrated holes and inactivation of the automatic adjustment of the valve gap. It is impossible to predict 100% improvement, since the Ceramizer® formula also contains deposit dissolving components. Therefore, whether the unblocking of the small holes will be successful cannot be determined beforehand. This is because each case is different. If the reason is wear and tear of the tappets' cooperation surface, then Ceramizer® will most probably be effective after one dosage.


Is the oil type important when using Ceramizers® (synthetic, semi-synthetic, mineral)?

The type of oil does not matter. It does not affect the effectiveness of ceramization.


Can I use Ceramizers® for Diesel engines? ( TDI, GDI, HDI), lpg engines? Does the number of cylinders count?

You can use Ceramizers® in every type of mechanical engine with any number of cylinders.

 


I recently made a thorough repair of the engine: all piston rings exchanged, valve sealants exchanged. When is ithe optimal time to use Ceramizers®?

At least 3-5 thousand kilometers after having made the repairs.


Can I use Ceramizer® in vehicles that are equipped with DPF / FAP?

A diesel particulate filter (or DPF/FAP) is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. Ceramizer® does not change the rheological parameters of oil and does not generate soot particles, sulphated ash or phosphporus. Therefore it does not affect the DPF / FAP and can be safely used in the engines with DPF / FAP.


Has the impact of Ceramizer® on the turbine ever been tested ?

Ceramizer® has an indirect influence on the turbocharger. Ceramizer® acts on bearings that are an integral part of the turbocharging system and thus enhances the efficiency of the turbine.


The website is constantly repeating the subjects of pistons, rings and cylinders. What is the situation in the case of bearings?

Yes, because in case of these elements occur most spectacular changes, it is therefore possible to verify the effectiveness of the product, even without the use of  specialistic instruments. In the case of bearing ceramization occurs as well but its effects are less spectacular (thinner layer on bearing beacuase it is made of soft metals).


I drive a car with a mileage of 170 thousand km. Is the use of liquid"auto flush" to clean the engine before using Ceramizer® recommended and will it affect its results in any way?

The basis of ceramization technology is the process of creating a layer of ceramic-metal during the operation of the car. Therefore for the full effect you have to wait a while. However if the engine flush is used before, it will not have any effect on the efficiency of Ceramizer®.


I bought a used Sierra 2.0 DOHC gas and after driving 2000 km, the car began to exhaust blue smoke. The oil for the time being will not be changed. Will Ceramizer® help or not?

Blue smoke is usually a sign of oil overburn. It is however hard to determine its cause. It can be due to the malfuncton of the ring, the gasket or the intake valve. It is recommended to check the compression pressure and do an oil test to try to establish the severity of the reason of the oil overburn. Ceramizer® may help in this case, if the oil overburn is caused only by use of the vehicle, not by mechanical damage.


Questions about application in gearboxes or axles

How does Ceramizer® affects the synchronizers in the gearbox?

Steel friction surfaces of the synchromesh are usually coated with molybdenum (in order to increase their service life). During operation with extremely frequent and vigorous shifting and with too much force - these surfaces can be damaged (erasure). This results in turn in difficulty in velocity alignment when changing gears. Ceramizer® works by restoring that layer (although not molybdenum, but with similar properties) which is wear-resistant and in addition very durable and hard. It consequently improves the functioning of the synchronizers. The regeneration process , however, only occurs when the wear processes are not exceeding limits and there wasn't any damage to the permanent elements of the mechanism.


If I have a damaged synchronizer... will Ceramizer® help me?

It depends on the kind of damage. If it is the loss of the protective layer (generally molybdenum) it will help, but if they are permanently damaged not due to conventional use – then probably nothing but repair will help.


The information about Ceramizers® is that they are not recommended for use in automatic transmissions. I have a scooter with an automatic gear box, so can I use Ceramizer®?

In the construction of a motorcycle drive system dry automatic transmissions are usually used. They have no contact with the oil. In these mechanisms (which are not in contact with the oil) it is no possible to apply Ceramizer®. Ceramization technology requires oil as a carrier of the Ceramizer® particles and metal particles. Nevertheless, it is recommended to use Ceramizer® for the scooter engines.


Can I use Ceramizer® in limited slip differential gearboxes ( LSD)?

It depends on the design of the mechanism (in terms of construction). If there are metal to metal friction pairs, Ceramizer® will be able to act. To be sure please check with the OEM instructions.


Can I use Ceramizer® in a gearbox of the “Torsen” differential type?

In the "Torsen" transmission mechanism Ceramizers® are not recommended for use. It could result in the deregulation of the transmission caused by the change in the coefficient of friction in the mechanism.


What is difference between Ceramizer® for the engines and Ceramizer® for the gearbox?

The difference lies in the composition of the the additives and their basic components. We do not recommend using products for mechanisms they are not designed for.


Questions about applications in motorcycles and scooters

Can Ceramizer® be applied to the engine, which is lubricated together with the gearbox and clutch in the motorcycle and which product should I apply?

There are no contraindications to the use of Ceramizers® for engines with a common gearbox lubrication system. It is, however best to use the product intended for motorcycles - Ceramizer CM.


Questions about fuel consumption

How does Ceramizer CP actually work?

In contrast to all other Ceramizers for engine, gearbox, power steering, CP is a fuel system purifier and fuel quality enhancer. Its main function is the purification from soot and fuel residue. CP also helps consume fuel more effectively by making it more calorific (enriching it).
